Research & Advocacy

CPHI-SL seeks to provide evidence-informed advocacy aimed at addressing the social determinants of health at the peripheral and higher levels. The Institute uses an evidence-informed approach to develop, implement and monitor integrated health programs that are undertaken by MoHS and its partners. CPHI-SL will strengthen the capacity of health practitioners and other community-based workers on practice-based and operational research to enable them to make informed decisions based upon information generated routinely or otherwise.

The Institute uses strategic information to evaluate the impact of community and public health programs and to explore gaps in their implementation. Research at CPHI-SL is strongly characterized by action research and is conducted with healthcare and development organizations.
